As always Thank you all so much for your cards, emails, prayers and gifts.
Cooper is progressing. He has good and bad times, but the good is coming more frequently. His attention span is slowly increasing, he has added numerous words and phrases to his vocabulary. Words can not describe the joy Brittney and I feel when Cooper says something as simple as “ Hi Daddy” or “ Hi Mommy”. He says these 2 phrases now without being prompted to say them. He says it spontaneously.
Cooper is doing very well with his academics, he has mastered out of his Capital letters and he can count to 20. He masters his new tasks pretty quick and moves on to more challenging tasks. He is a very smart kid. The trick is to keep him in our world and not let him drift off in to his world. That is why this school is so good for him, when he starts “stemming” someone is there to try to get him to focus and snap back in to focus. It is not easy to make him focus, but it is getting easier.
Autism has been a very big news story the past couple of weeks with Jenny McCarthy being on the Oprah Show, Larry King Live, Good Morning America, and on the cover of this weeks People Magazine. Her message of hope is so important, there are many parents out there with autistic kids that need to hear that message.
Jesus tells us if we even have the faith of a mustard seed that we can move mountains. All of our families have different things we are all dealing with, weather it be health problems, addictions, financial problems, you may have kids that you are worried about for one reason or another, but have faith that God will take control and work things out for the best. For Brittney and I, God has sent people like you in to our lives, there are so many thoughts and prayers and great deeds being done for our family. We have made friends that we never would have made, if we were not going through these trials. Thank you so much and keep Brittney, myself, Coop and Christian in your prayers.
